I’m Tristan. I’m a copywriter and interdisciplinary designer. I like to stop and smell the roses. I pay attention. I try to create things that are timeless but also concerned with the modern world. I want to put all of my skills to work at the intersection of advertising, writing, identity, branding and design.

Born and raised in Seattle, I’m currently a junior copywriter at Ogilvy & Mather in New York City. I work on IBM, creating advertising in different mediums for multiple channels across the large and complex account. I’m a communicator and collaborator, used to working closely with art directors, creative directors, strategists and producers; I regularly present work to clients.

I have a BA in English/creative writing from Denison University, in Ohio. I was also a Studio Art minor. I’ve interned in the marketing department at Sub Pop and, after college, worked as the editorial assistant at Columbus Monthly, pitching, reporting and writing. In 2011, I co-founded the icecreamist, a limited-edition magazine that examines culture, art, fashion and the evolution of the American economy.
